PaVE: the papillomavirus episteme

The PAVE Reference Genomes (HPV_REF) are based on sequence records from the NCBI database and have been re-annotated for uniformity. Several of the original NCBI sequences were revised in PaVE. The revision criteria are described in Van Doorslaer et al., 2012. Links to a detailed description of each revision can be found in the reference table below.

In the following table the appendix "nr" refers to putative novel virus types that are not (yet) recognized by the International Human Papillomavirus Reference Center. For details see here.
